Our Candidates

Our candidate pool is growing rapidly.

We represent lawyers who are both highly valued by their firms and companies and who are in many cases, not otherwise actively looking to move. These individuals will not be accessed by standard advertising.

We rigorously screen our candidates at the outset of our relationship. As a result, we know their strengths, weaknesses and preferences and begin considering them from the moment the client begins to describe the position.

Our candidates trust our judgment. They know that we will contact them only when the position at hand encompasses the criteria that they have originally set forth to us. When we do contact them, they give us quick feedback on their potential interest in the role.

Our specialist recruiters are just that, and aim to know the associate market inside out. Few search firms in China, focus their business on legal recruiting as CLC does.

Our Methodology

We are consultants. Therefore, we invest substantial effort to understand the differentiators of your organization. When combined with our deep understanding of the legal market, we are able to prepare and execute a successful search that minimizes costs and delays.

CLC personally meets every candidate it represents whenever this is possible. Too often, candidates look good on a resume, but are less impressive in person. Our process eliminates this issue by going beyond the “paper match”.

CLC does not simply forward resumes. Prior to an interview, CLC provides its clients with a brief, detailed biography about the candidate that will include information generally not found in a simple resume. Furthermore, candidates are prepped on the organization. First interviews can therefore be used to diagnose fit, not to educate on basic information.

Every step of the recruiting process is managed by CLC from original presentation of the candidate to references and entrance/exit strategies.

Since candidates and clients are often busy with their own work, CLC actively manages the feedback of information between the interviewing parties.

Our firm belief is that a placement is only successful if the candidate and client ultimately form a long-term relationship.

3: Contingency Searches

      The firm receives access to suitable candidates from CLC’s existing               database

      CLC diligently recruits through existing relationships and cold calls
      on behalf of the firm

      CLC produces a periodic email updating the firm on our progress.
